Letter to my favourite vet!

To my favourite vet at WVH, Woof! Meow! Hello! It's me, your furry patient, writing to you on World Veterinary Day! I just wanted to take a moment to paws and say thank you for all the care and kindness you show me each time I visit your hospital. You always make me feel safe and loved, even when I'm feeling a little under the weather. Your gentle touch and soothing words make all the difference. Whether it's a routine check-up or a scary trip to the operating table, I know I'm in good hands with you. On this special day dedicated to vets like you, I want to express my deepest gratitude for everything you do. You not only keep me healthy but also make sure I'm happy and comfortable. Your dedication to animals like me is truly pawsome! So here's a big wag of the tail and a purr of appreciation just for you. Thank you for being the best vet I could ask for! With love and lots of wet kisses (or gentle headbutts, if I'm a cat), Your patient and their family xxx

Natacia Kalyan - Awesome team of doctors❤ The entire team at Westville Veterinary Hospital is amazing. Our precious fur baby Storm has now had 3 ops in a row from 2022 to present. Dr Goosen you have been phenomenal with him. Thank you so very much for your love and care. We have been with WVH for a long time now, from 1994/5. Excellent doctors always, Dr Wimberley, Dr Reese, Dr Goosen, Dr Rosanne, Dr Tom (Saturday) and recently Dr Delport. Thank you to the entire Team of WVH for your dedication and excellent service. May God Bless each one of you.
Shaun Janke - I don't think we would have enough space available in the comments to thank each vet we've been privileged to work with at WVH that have treated all our animals. Not excluding the wonderful vet nurses, assistants, and admin.
Roseanne Naidoo Ramluckan - Happy World Veterinarians Day to the most amazing group of people at West Vet. It takes such special people to handle our furbabies with the love and care you shower them with. Not forgetting a whole lot of patience. You all are so appreciated for everything you do. Thank you for everything. And thank you Dr Wimberley you have been such a blessing. From ‘Chloe’ and family.
Zeele Pauw - The best!
Leigh-Anne Cowden - You are all the best especially Dr Steve. My spoilt baby Zoey. She is now 10 years old. We have been coming to Westville vet for 22 years. All our pets have been treated there. The vets are amazing. Dr Wimberley is our favourite. Happy World Veterinary Day to all.
Kerry Janke - Thank you to this amazing team. The whole SAFE team can never express how grateful we are to have you always there as guardian angles for all our rescues. Time and time again you have given hope, life, and miracles to those that everyone else has forgotten. Caring, professional - life givers. Thank you.
Lynley Clarke - All your amazing vets have assisted us with our pets over the last 40 years. Dr Willem Vergeer saved a badly broken leg on my son’s beagle (Rocky) and our dachshund (Raisin) a year apart in unrelated incidents. He is a magician in a blue shirt. Dr Steve Wimberley is a most caring and knowledgeable vet too, as are Dr Richard Smith and Dr Lorette Goosen. We are blessed to have this facility in Westville.
Liezel Eksteen - I know my beautiful Skye would thank Dr Smith for everything he tried to do to save her and for giving us that extra time before she crossed.
Patricia Barendse - Thank you!
Amanda Kruger - My little Lola says thank you for saving her, Dr Richard Smith. Every day I am grateful having my playful buddy around me. Miley on the other hand is saying ‘really Dr Webster all this darkness’? to look at these eyes getting old, as soon as the lights come on, ‘mom get me out of here.’
Felicity Cory - Thank you for making my pesky annual shots as painless as possible. (My kitties loved Dr Perling’s catnip) π₯°
Amy Moodliar - Dr Steve Wimberley is an amazing God sent doctor π. My baby Rocco, a pit bull hurt is ligaments and Dr Steve handled him with such love and care on all 3 visits, he even advised me to send him videos of Rocco which he responded to. He took the time to advise us with regards to Rocco's treatment. Even the staff at reception are so friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. Thank you, Dr Steve, God bless you π π
Devesh Rampersadh - I cannot thank you guys enough for doing everything in your power to help my baby girl. Special thank you to Dr Willem Vergeer for going out of his way to ensure she has her op and that she gets better. I cannot thank you enough for what you did. We are forever grateful for what you did. Thank you!
Karishma Budhai - Dear Dr Wimberley, thank you for being the most caring & dedicated doctor. I tore both my cruciate ligaments and couldn't walk but thanks to your healing hands & amazing work you do, I'm back to my Yorkie self again which is chasing birds & following my fur mom around! Sending you lots of Yorkie love on this special day, from ‘Sheru’
Janine Kyle - Dear Dr Wimberley, thank you for all you have done for Harry and ensuring we get to love him as a healthy cat. Without you he may not have been here today. Your love of animals is wonderful, and they know! They love you back! Zeus and Nala Roo also join in wishing you only joy always.
Natasch Robinson - Dr Roz. Thank you for patching us up, making us feel better when we're unwell, and giving us the best care! PS: belly rubs and treats are our faves!
Amanda - How could I forget Dr Vergeer for operating on Pippa's neck also a life saver. Pippa has recovered well. She isn't as active as before but is living a pain free life. She finds me annoying for being overprotective. Pippa says Thank-you Dr Vergeer you're amazing. Dr Richard Smith I still believe saved Lola after being over anesthetized. We are both grateful every day for having her around. Dr Webster thank you for taking care of Miley’s eyes and her ears.
Miranda and Rusty - A big thank you to Dr Richard Smith for taking such wonderful care of my Rusty. He has helped us get his allergies under control after much discomfort for our little guy. Rusty is also a big fan. π We are so grateful for all of the advice, care and support from every single doctor we have consulted with at Westville Vet, with a special shout-out to Dr Goosen. Your love for animals shines through in the extraordinary care our pets receive. Thank you.
Linda Oosthuizen (A special poem for Dr Rozanne)

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Wimberley for trying your very best to help me in Johannesburg with my little boy Sparkles who passed away from cancer. When I struggled to find the best treatment for my dog, you returned my calls, responded to my emails and consulted with your specialists. You are a dedicated, compassionate and vet, true to your profession. You agreed to help us when I struggled to find a vet who actually cared. Unfortunately it was too late but you were the only vet who saw him as more than just another dog. Thank you from an your client from years ago, Nisha and your past patient Sparkles ✨ π

ReplyDeleteDear: Dr Smith, what a Terrific Doctor.
ReplyDeleteWhen all hope was lost, and no treatments were working and other Doctors told my servants this is the last treatment, they have and the next will be putting me to sleep forever when i was just baby(p.s. still am), my servants knew it will not be the end and they would find a vet with an amazing Doctor. That evening my servants noticed I was in great pain and discomfort and rushed me to an after hour vet (Westville veterinary hospital). This is where I met Dr Smith and finally my humans tears of sadness and uncertainty was changed to tears of relief and certainty. I had a very special operation to save my life and I'll forever be thankful for Dr Smith. Thank you Dr Smith And the team at Westville vet this year I turned Five. Love Rowan Koekemoer.
Dear Dr Vergeer. Thank you for always being the best vet that Raj could have. Sending you love and happiness always.
ReplyDeleteWay back in 2004, my bull terrier, Michaela, developed a nasty cancer in her jaw. Dr Willem was then at Highway Vet and was so amazing with her. Then, in 2018, my bull terrier Alex, suffered a collapsed larynx. Dr Willem to the rescue. Did ‘tie back’ surgery and Alex recovered well. Thank you Dr Willem, you are an amazing person and Vet and a wonderful mentor to so many younger vets, including my son, as well as Dr Wendy Neadley way back when Michaela needed help πππ»
ReplyDeleteOur old boy, Jesse James, says to thank Dr Steve Wimberley for all his love, care and concern. He also thanks all the staff that were there on Sunday evening when he was rushed into the practice. The care from the staff was amazing and the sms that was received the following morning made his owners relax a bit more about his outcome. Its a distance to get to but the drive is worth it. Woofs and slurps from Jesse James.
ReplyDeleteI don't think words will ever be enough to express how grateful I am for Dr James Webster. He is a phenomenal doctor. You gave my Bella her vision back, how can you thank someone enough for that? From the moment I walked in, terrified to learn what was wrong with her, he was so kind and took his time to answer the million questions I had. Thank you so so much. If you are looking for a passionate veterinary Ophthalmologist look no further than Dr James Webster.
ReplyDeleteThank you Steve for the amazing care you gave Sebastianband his mom. We will be forever grateful
